The Challenge

and services, Nolo's telecommunication and infrastructure services are critical
to its success and an integral part of its business.
When Nolo turned to vCom for supporting its voice services at its Corporate
Headquarters in Berkeley CA, that housed its Customer Support Call Center,
Nolo was looking for a provider with similar commitment to customer service
and reliability to its own. vCom was up to the challenge.
The Solution
vCom partnered with Nolo's IT Department to design a robust and fault tolerant
local and long distance solution supporting both inbound and outbound services.
Leveraging its partnerships with multiple Tier 1 carriers, vCom implemented
a new voice infrastructure that afforded Nolo Carrier, Tandem and Central
office diversity, while still able to significantly reduce Nolo's ongoing
costs.
Third, vCom assisted HRB Law in the selection of a video conferencing equipment
provider and the deployment of Polycom video conferencing hardware. vCom
implemented a video over IP infrastructure with ISDN fault-tolerance for
inter-office and partner video conferencing. vCom’s experienced team deployed
best practices in voice and video prioritization. The ROI from the deployment
of Video over IP was instantaneous.
The Outcome
The transition to vCom's new services was seamless. A subsequent fiber outage
demonstrated the effectiveness of the fault-tolerant design, with users
and calls not being impacted, and further showcased the support that vCom
provides its customers.
