Business Development Manager


JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales          

REPORTS TO: VP of Sales                                    

vCom Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Account Executive for our rapidly growing business. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience selling to mid-size businesses with multiple locations. vCom is looking for people with a background in selling network carrier solutions, telecom expense management solutions or professional services solutions.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Qualify new opportunities within an installed base.
  • Work closely with the Client Management Team to drive sales.
  • Develop effective sales strategies.
  • Deliver sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Create proposals and respond to RFP’s.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage of sales territory.
  • Achieve designated sales quotas.
  • Develop sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Rolodex of appropriate decision-makers from other past sales roles
  • Proven success in cold calling/prospecting/driving sales cycle
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience - preferably in the communications industry
  • Proven ability to carry and achieve sales quotas
  • Experience in prospecting and closing a high volume of deals
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.

Order Entry Specialist

JOB TITLE: Order Entry Specialist                                     

DEPARTMENT: Operations                                                  
REPORTS TO: Director of Service Delivery

 

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for data entry of carrier orders for data, Internet and voice products.  The OES is responsible for working with vCom's Carriers, Service Providers and the Operations team on the installation and documentation of services sold to clients. 

 

 

Position responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit Internet, data, and voice Add, Move, Change and Disconnect orders
  • Coordinate new service and installation dates with vCom’s Operations team and Carriers
  • Ensure that all clients’ milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner, including time sensitive moves and new products
  • Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of orders, communication with carriers or vendors and follow up action items, in vCom’s OSS applications
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate client inventory

Essential skills and experience:

  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated heavy data entry experience
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Self-motivated, with high learning aptitude, and initiative

Service Delivery Provisioner

JOB TITLE: Service Delivery Provisioner                                           

DEPARTMENT: Operations                                                                   
REPORTS TO: Director of Service Delivery

 

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for managing the data, Internet, voice, and CPE product ordering processes, from order generation to delivery and implementation of service.  The SDP is responsible for working with vCom's Carriers, Service Providers, client vendors and the Operations team on the implementation, documentation and support of services sold to clients. 

 

 

Position responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit Internet, data and voice Add, Move, Change and Disconnect orders
  • Coordinate new service and installation dates with vCom’s Project Coordination team and Carriers
  • Manage the Test and Turn Up process, working with Carrier technicians and engineers, as well as client hardware vendors, technicians, or IT vendors.
  • Ensure that all clients’ milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner, including time sensitive moves and new products
  • Work with the vCom Team to continuously evaluate whether anything is prohibiting the commitments outlined during the sales process from being met in a timely manner, based on the timeline expected by and promised to the client
  • Work with vCom customers on troubleshooting problems with newly installed services, including limited after hours support
  • Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of orders, communication with carriers or vendors, test and turn up, and follow up action items, in vCom’s OSS applications
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate client inventory

Essential skills and experience:

  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated heavy data entry experience
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Engagement Manager

 

 

JOB TITLE: Engagement Manager       

REPORTS TO:  Director of Client Relations

DEPARTMENT:  Engagement Management

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Engagement Manager will actively manage large, multi-site customers and will be responsible for overseeing the conversion of customer spend to vCom. 

 

GENERAL PURPOSE:  The Engagement Manager will have responsibility for leading the consulting and implementation services engagements and relationships with our clients during the conversion of spend engagement period.  

 

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Actively develop and execute project plans for product and solution deployment, in addition to coordinating cross-disciplinary teams within vCom.
  2. Develop an understanding of the customer’s business goals and objectives while providing guidance and leadership to the account and implementation teams. 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee the hand-off from Sales, through the launch and implementation of services
  2. Manage the customer relationship during the conversion of spend process
  3. Drive quotes not yet converted to orders and/or orders not yet ready to be promoted to Operations
  4. Ensure both continued revenue growth and successful customer engagements during the customer lifecycle
  5. Work with Sales, Project Management, and Solution Architecture to identify product and process improvements that have global relevance and work to drive those improvements
  6. Consult with customers to define their business requirements
  7. Work with lead Solution Technical Architect to create vision and solution offerings for the customer
  8. Work with Account Team on overall delivery quality, timelines and customer satisfaction
  9. Conduct regular project reviews
  10. Work with Sales Representative to lead contract review and negotiation process, including pricing and scope estimates for implementation
  11. Ensure project commitments made on behalf of vCom Solutions are addressed
  12. Work with the Sales and Client Relationship Management teams to identify new business opportunities within existing customer base
  13. Assist Sales Team during opportunity assessment and proposal phases, particularly as it relates to project approach, timeline and deliverables
  14. Serve as a point of escalation for issue resolution
  15. Help facilitate customer demos and participate in customer meetings and sales presentations
  16. Participate in business development activities, providing product and process expertise
  17. Ensure the successful transition of clients from close-of-sale to full scale implementation of client services
  18. Work with Sales and Operations to ensure that client needs are met based on set expectations; work closely with the team to identify methods for strengthening client communication 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in Client Relations
  2. 2-4 years of telecommunication technologies including Local, Long Distance, Data, Internet and data services
  3. Demonstrated experience with various carriers including facilities-based and non-facilities-based CLECs and ILECs/RBOCs and other large/national service providers.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general knowledge of database software applications
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Strong team and client focus, including ability to collaborate with clients
  8. Superior time management and multi-tasking skills
  9. Attention to detail and accuracy
  10. Resourceful, organized and independent
  11. Goal oriented
  12. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interact among all levels of the organization
